ABOUT US

______________

New Hope Academy officially opened its doors in January 2021, with the heartfelt mission of ensuring that every learner—regardless of their individual challenges—can learn and succeed at their own pace through a differentiated version of the CAPS curriculum. Since its founding, the school has placed learners with learning differences at the centre of its approach. This includes children facing a range of conditions such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, behavioural challenges, and developmental delays.

Recognising that “every child is different and should be taught according to their needs”, the school has adopted a truly individualized, learner-centered approach, incorporating a multidisciplinary team that delivers personalized education and therapy. Setting itself apart, New Hope Academy emphasizes small class sizes, with a firm policy of no more than 10 learners per class—ensuring each student receives dedicated attention and support tailored to their learning profile.

Our Mission

To nurture all learners with learning difficulties and/orspecial needs in a safe, inclusive environment through therapeutic intervention, education and community acceptance.

Our Vision

To develop a highly effective learning community where learners recognise abilities, not disabilities, and learn together in an inclusive environment.

We Aim to achieve this vision by creating an environment where

  • All learners are happy to come to school every day, and they are proud of what they achieve.
  • All learners are given the support and challenges to learn and succeed at their own pace and beyond school.
  • All parents are confident that their children are safe, happy and making good progress and that their voices are heard.
  • All staff create consistently positive experiences.
